YITA Multiple Dresser Brands Recalled Due to Tip-Over and Entrapment Risk
YITA LLC recalls about 6,800 dressers sold under five brand names due to tip-over and entrapment hazards when not anchored to walls. The dressers violate mandatory safety standards and pose risks of serious injury or death to children.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: The dressers pose a risk of serious injuries or death to children from tip-over and entrapment hazards and violate a mandatory safety standard. However, no illnesses or injuries have been reported, making this a high-risk product without reported incidents, which fits the rubric criterion for a score of 3.
Plain-English summary
This recall involves dressers sold under five YITA brand names: Yitahome, Uforic, Dextrus, Yintatech, and ModFusion. The 16-drawer dressers with fabric drawers measure approximately 37.4 inches long, 11.8 inches wide, and 57.1 inches tall. About 6,800 units are affected, with SKU numbers FTBFSD-0161, FTBFSD-0162, FTBFSD-0212, FTBFSD-0246, or FTBFSD-0465 printed on labels on the top panel and product packaging. Available colors include gray, black, white, pink, and brown.
The dressers are unstable if not anchored to the wall, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in serious injuries or death to children. The dressers violate the mandatory standard required by the STURDY Act (Sturdy Furniture and Tip-Over Prevention Act).
The dressers were sold online at Amazon.com and Walmart.com from September 2023 through August 2025 for between $75 and $100. They were imported from China by Yita LLC of Kent, Washington.
Consumers who own these dressers should immediately stop using them if they are not anchored to the wall and keep them in an area that children cannot access. For a full refund, consumers should contact YITA at 877-672-0878 (8 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday), email [email protected], or visit the YITA website recall page. As part of the remedy, consumers should write "RECALL" on the dressers using a permanent marker, disassemble them, and submit a photo of the disposed product to [email protected].
