About EPA recalls
The EPA's recall jurisdiction is narrower than the other agencies on this site. It covers two streams: vehicle emissions-related recalls (where a vehicle no longer meets the Clean Air Act emissions standards it was certified under) and pesticide product enforcement (where a registered pesticide is unregistered, mislabeled, or sold in violation of FIFRA).
Emissions recalls overlap heavily with NHTSA — manufacturers issue them under EPA enforcement but the campaigns are catalogued on the NHTSA recall portal so consumers can look them up alongside their other vehicle recalls. The Recall Desk follows that convention: vehicle emissions recalls show up under NHTSA above, not on this page.
EPA pesticide enforcement actions are published only as case pages on epa.gov with no structured feed, so we don't have an automated ingestor for them. If you're looking for a specific pesticide enforcement action, the EPA's enforcement-case search at epa.gov/enforcement is the authoritative source. We carry this as a known gap in our coverage.
