Recall alerts
Get an email when it matters
Pick the recalls you care about. We’ll send a focused email when one matches — and nothing else. Double opt-in, one-click unsubscribe in every email, no ads, no tracking pixels.
How it works
- You enter your email + filters and pick a frequency.
- We send you a confirmation email — click the link to opt in.
- Once confirmed, the cron worker checks new recalls every 30 minutes for immediate, daily at 8am ET for daily digest, Mondays at 8am ET for weekly digest.
- Every email includes one-click unsubscribe — RFC 8058 compliant.
Why alerts?
We publish ~30 new recalls a day across all five agencies. Most are routine medical-device software updates or low-severity Class III food notices that won’t affect what’s in your kitchen. The one-or-two-a-month that matter to you are buried in the volume. Alerts solve that by letting you watch a focused slice — say, only severity 4+ food recalls distributed in California, or only NHTSA recalls for a Ford F-150, or any recall mentioning the word “Listeria”. We email when something matches and stay quiet otherwise.
Double opt-in (you confirm by clicking a link in the first email) is deliberate — it keeps the deliverability good for everyone else by ensuring no one is signed up against their will. RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe is in every email header so Gmail and Outlook can drop you with a single click if you change your mind. We don’t use tracking pixels and we don’t share your address with anyone.
