CamelBak Water Bottle Caps Recalled for Choking Hazard

CamelBak is recalling certain caps sold with Podium and Peak Fitness water bottles because a small silicone valve can come loose and detach, posing a choking hazard. No injuries have been reported.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: This recall involves a choking hazard on a product that could be used by children. Although no injuries have been reported, the hazard presents a risk of harm, and 14 reports of the valve coming loose demonstrate the hazard is real and not merely theoretical. This meets the High severity criterion for risk-of-harm products where injury has not yet been reported.
