Plain-English summary
Venom Motorsports, of Canada, is recalling approximately 500 youth model all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) sold online through VenomMotorsportsUSA.com between August 2020 and January 2021 for between $800 and $1,700. The recalled models include the Venom E-Madix 1300w 48V (E-A050), Venom E-Grizzly 1500w 48V (E-A07), Venom Mini Madix 110cc (HX110D), Venom Grizzly 125cc (HX125B), and Venom Racing Madix 125cc (MADIX125). The ATVs are available in green/white, blue/black, black/orange, and white/orange colors.
The recalled ATVs do not meet mandatory federal safety requirements, including speed restrictions. Additionally, the ATVs were imported and distributed in the United States without a Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)-approved ATV Action Plan, which includes safety requirements designed to protect users. These violations pose a risk of serious injury or death. No injuries have been reported.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ATVs.
