FRIGG Silicone Pacifiers Recalled Due to Choking Hazard

Mushie & Co is recalling about 333,725 FRIGG Silicone Pacifiers because the silicone nipple can detach from the plastic shield, posing a choking hazard. Eight detachments have been reported in the U.S. with no injuries.

Mushie & Co, LLC, of Houston, Texas, is recalling approximately 333,725 FRIGG Silicone Pacifiers due to a choking hazard. The pacifiers come in two designs—Classic and Daisy—each with a silicone nipple attached to a round plastic shield (scalloped on the Daisy model). Both designs were sold in two sizes (0-6 months and 6-18 months) and in over 40 colors.

The hazard is a fine slit at the base of the silicone nipple that can cause the nipple to detach from the plastic shield. Mushie & Co has received eight reports of this detachment in the U.S., and the manufacturer has received approximately 200 reports from outside the U.S. No injuries have been reported.

The affected pacifiers were sold at SpearmintLOVE, TJ Maxx, Lil' Tulips, and Olivia & Jade Company stores nationwide, as well as online at www.mushie.com and www.amazon.com between April 2021 and December 2021. They were priced at about $8 for a single pacifier and about $15 for a pack of two.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pacifiers and contact Mushie & Co for a refund or credit. To obtain a refund or credit, consumers must cut the silicone nipple from the pacifier base, photograph both pieces, and send the photos to mushie.com/pages/recalls. The pacifier should then be disposed of by placing both pieces in the garbage.
