They measure about 30 inches when un-retracted and about 43 inches when extended.
The carabiner's gate automatic closing system can malfunction, which poses a risk of serious injury or death to the user. No injuries have been reported to date. The recalled lanyards were sold nationwide and online through Mountain Gear, Omni Progear, Ouray Mountain Sports, Moosejaw Mountaineering, Backcountry Gear Ltd., boutique shops, and www.petzl.com from January 2021 through February 2022 for approximately $180. About 22 additional units were sold in Canada.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lanyards and contact Petzl for a full refund, including return shipping. Petzl will provide a postage-paid label for returning the recalled lanyard.
