Stack Em' Up Books Recalls Children's Stackable Toys for Excessive Lead Paint
Stack Em' Up Books is recalling Adam the Apple children's stackable toys because the surface paint contains lead levels that exceed the federal lead paint ban. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: This is a high-risk product (lead paint on toys for young children) where a known toxic hazard has been documented. Although no illnesses or injuries have been reported, lead exposure poses a serious theoretical risk to the target population (young children), placing this at the High severity level per the rubric.
