Peace Sports Youth ATVs Recalled for Safety Violations and Injury Risk

Peace Industry Group is recalling about 1,000 Peace Sports Youth All-Terrain Vehicles due to violations of federal ATV safety standards. The ATVs have defective handlebars, faulty parking brakes, missing reflectors, and footguards that pose risks of laceration, amputation, and collision.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves risk-of-harm products (handlebars, brakes, footguards) where serious injury or death is stated as a risk, but the source explicitly reports no injuries or illnesses. Per the rubric, when no illnesses/injuries are reported and the hazard is theoretical, the maximum score is 3 (High).

Plain-English summary

Peace Industry Group is recalling Peace Sports Youth All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), models 512 CY125ATV-1 and 518 CY125ATV-6, sold nationwide from April 2019 through March 2021. Approximately 1,000 units are affected. The ATVs were sold for about $1,110 each through authorized dealerships including AutoWorx Sales LLC, Daryl's Motorcycle Service, Hialeah Scooters, LJS Repairs LLC, M&M Small Engines, Marobo Motors, Motor Werks LLC, One Stop Automotive Repair LLC, Scooters & Small Engine Repairs, Solano Cycles, Unique Motorsports, Wild Hogs Scooters and Motorsports LLC, and other authorized dealerships nationwide.

The recalled ATVs fail to comply with federal mandatory ATV safety standards. The handlebars pose a laceration hazard if the child rider's body or head impacts them at high speed. The parking brakes fail to hold, creating a collision hazard. The ATVs are missing required safety reflectors for vehicles intended for use by children 10 years and older. On the 518 CY125ATV-6 model, the footguards pose laceration, contusion, and amputation hazards if the rider's foot enters the rear wheel environment.

No injuries have been reported. Consumers should stop using the recalled ATVs immediately and contact Peace Industry Group for a full refund.
