Zen Fidget Magnetic Ball Sets Recalled for Risk of Serious Injury or Death

Daoen Inc. is recalling Zen Fidget Magnetic Ball Sets because the loose high-powered magnets can be swallowed by children, causing intestinal perforation, blockage, or death. No injuries have been reported.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: The recalled product poses a risk of serious harm—including intestinal perforation and death—from magnet ingestion in children, and the hazard involves a high-risk mechanism (magnetic foreign body ingestion). Although no injuries have been reported, the potential for serious harm and the violation of a mandatory toy safety standard justify a High severity rating per the rubric.

Plain-English summary

Daoen Inc., of City of Industry, California, is recalling about 1,000 Zen Fidget Magnetic Ball Sets. The sets consist of four textured, silicone magnetic balls in silver, light brown, tan, and bronze colors, each measuring about 1.24 inches in diameter. The balls come in a round, zippered case with or without a white Gordon Sinclair logo.

The recalled magnetic balls violate the mandatory standard for toys because they are loose high-powered magnets that pose an ingestion hazard to children. When swallowed, high-powered magnets can attract each other or other metal objects and become lodged in the digestive system, which can result in perforations, twisting, and blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning, and death.

The recalled sets were distributed as promotional free items to consumers from December 2025 through February 2026 by Ensora Health, of Birmingham, Alabama, and Gordon Sinclair, of Valley Stream, New York. No injuries have been reported.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled magnet ball toys, take them away from children, and dispose of them. For more information, contact Daoen by email at [email protected].
