2020-2021 Dynamax Isata Motorhomes Recalled for Engine Software Fire Risk

Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2020 and 2021 Dynamax Isata motorhomes equipped with inadequate engine warmup protection software. The engine calibration fails to ensure adequate oil film coating on the connecting rod bearings during warmup.

Without proper oil protection, connecting rod bearings can become damaged, leading to connecting rod failure. This may result in engine block puncture or damage.

If the engine block leaks oil, the leaked oil may contact hot engine or exhaust components, creating a fire risk.

Owners will be notified by Forest River. Authorized dealers will reprogram the engine calibration software at no cost to enhance warmup protection. The recall remedy began October 13, 2020.
