Spartan RV Chassis Steering Gear Assembly Defect Recall
Shyft Group is recalling certain 2022-2023 Spartan RV Chassis vehicles due to improperly assembled steering gears that may fracture, causing loss of steering control. Owners should contact the manufacturer for free inspection and replacement.

Shyft Group is recalling certain 2022-2023 Spartan RV Chassis vehicles (models K1, K2, K3, and K4) due to a steering gear assembly defect.
The steering gears may have been assembled incorrectly during manufacturing. This defect can cause the gears to fracture. A fractured steering gear can result in loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
No injuries have been reported related to this defect. Shyft Group will inspect and replace the steering gears free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 31, 2022. Owners may contact Spartan RV Chassis customer service at 855.589.9836 for more information.
