Motorhomes recalled for fuel hose defect in Cummins generators

Certain 2021-2024 Forest River and Coachmen motorhomes equipped with Cummins Onan generators are affected by a fuel hose defect. The inadequate clamp force may cause a gasoline leak, increasing fire risk.

Plain-English summary

Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2021-2023 Galleria, Beyond, Forester, and Sunseeker motorhomes and 2021-2024 Nova motorhomes equipped with Cummins Onan QG 2800i or QG 2800i EVAP generator sets. The fuel hose connecting the inline fuel filter to the Injection Pump Module may have inadequate clamp force.

This defect may result in a gasoline leak. In the presence of an ignition source, such a leak increases the risk of fire.

Approximately 1,027 motorhomes are affected. The remedy is free inspection and replacement of the fuel hose and clamps by Cummins dealers as necessary. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 17, 2023. Owners can contact Cummins at (800) CUMMINS or (800) 286-6467, Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-206-7600, or Coachmen Class B customer service at 1-574-825-8602.
