An estimated 2,018 vehicles are affected by this recall. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 28, 2023. Affected owners should contact Volkswagen's customer service at 1-800-893-5298 to schedule service, or contact NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236. Dealers will inspect and replace the engine if necessary, at no cost to the owner.
