2022-2023 Lucid Air Vehicles Recalled for Rear Seat Heater Overheating Risk

Lucid USA, Inc. is recalling certain 2022 and 2023 Lucid Air vehicles due to a defect in the rear seat heater temperature monitoring system. Under certain conditions, this monitoring can become inoperative, allowing the rear seat heaters to overheat.
Overheated rear seats can increase the risk of burn injury to passengers. Approximately 1,267 vehicles are affected.
Lucid has released a free over-the-air (OTA) software update to remedy the issue. Owner notification letters were mailed on December 11, 2023. Owners should contact Lucid customer service at 1-888-995-8243 or visit www.nhtsa.gov for more information.
