2022-2024 Lucid Air Adaptive Cruise Control Software Fault Risks Sudden Loss of Drive Power

Lucid is recalling certain 2022-2024 Air vehicles with software versions 2.1.2 through 2.1.26 due to an adaptive cruise control fault that may cause sudden loss of drive power. A free software update was released in October 2023.

A sudden loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash and creates an unexpected loss of vehicle control. The fault can occur whenever the adaptive cruise control is engaged.

Lucid released a free over-the-air (OTA) software update in October 2023 to fix this issue. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 8, 2024.
