When the center brake light fails to illuminate, other drivers cannot see that the vehicle is slowing down, also increasing crash risk. The vehicles fail to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards numbers 111 (Rear Visibility) and 108 (Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment).

This recall affects approximately 46 vehicles across the 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler model years. All vehicles were repaired by January 15, 2024, with dealers replacing the affected harness components at no charge to owners. Owner notification letters were mailed September 26, 2024.
