2026 RAM and Jeep vehicles recalled for trailer brake and lighting failures

Due to the design defect, the trailer lights may fail to illuminate and the trailer brakes may fail. Trailer brake lights and turn signals that do not illuminate reduce visibility to other drivers, which increases the risk of a crash. Additionally, failed trailer brakes increase the risk of a crash.

Chrysler notified owners beginning March 17, 2026. The remedy is replacement of the trailer tow module at no charge. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall can be searched on NHTSA.gov.
