Without the cover, the mini breaker's studs remain exposed. These exposed studs can cause electrical arcing when they contact nearby aluminum ducting, which increases the risk of fire and injury to occupants.

Approximately 69 units are affected. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 21, 2022. Dealers will inspect the breaker cover and install one if necessary at no charge.
