Plain-English summary
Jayco, Inc. is recalling certain 2020-2021 Entegra Launch and Qwest motorhomes and Jayco Melbourne and Melbourne Prestige motorhomes. Approximately 659 vehicles are affected.
The heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) blower motor circuit in these vehicles may be inadequate, allowing the wiring harness to overheat. An overheating wiring harness increases the risk of fire.
Owners should only operate the HVAC front blower in manual mode while the engine is on and avoid using maximum blower or lowest/highest temperature settings until the remedy is completed. Jayco dealers will relocate and replace the fuse and wiring harness free of charge. Owner notification letters were sent beginning August 18, 2023.
For more information, owners can contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153). Additional information is available at www.nhtsa.gov.
