Navistar, Inc. is recalling certain 2023 International HV and International MV vehicles due to a driveshaft defect.
The driveshafts in the affected vehicles can break under certain loading conditions. A broken driveshaft can separate and cause a loss of drive power, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.
Navistar will replace the driveshafts free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed October 16, 2023. Owners can contact Navistar's customer service at 1-800-448-7825 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) for more information.
