2023 Jayco Alante and Related Motorhomes Recalled for Instrument Panel Corrosion

Jayco, Inc. is recalling certain 2023 and 2024 motorhomes, including the Jayco Alante, Precept, Precept Prestige, and Entegra Emblem, Vision, and Vision XL models. Approximately 134 vehicles are potentially affected.

Corrosion in the Smart Data Link Connector (SDLC) in the electrical system can interfere with the vehicle's Controller Area Network (CAN) communication, which may render the instrument panel inoperative. An inoperative instrument panel cannot display critical safety information, including the speedometer and warning lights, increasing the risk of a crash.

Owners should contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 to arrange a remedy. Ford dealers will install a wire harness connector and inspect and replace the SDLC module as necessary, free of charge.
