Plain-English summary
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC is recalling certain 2022-2024 EQB models, including the EQB 250+, EQB 300 4MATIC, and EQB 350 4MATIC. The high voltage battery in affected vehicles may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while the vehicle is parked or driving.
Approximately 11,895 vehicles are affected by this recall. Owners should immediately park their vehicles outside and away from structures, and should charge their vehicles to a maximum of 80% battery capacity until the repair is completed. Dealers will replace the high voltage battery at no cost to owners.
Mercedes-Benz began mailing interim notification letters to affected owners on March 13, 2026, alerting them to the safety risk. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy becomes available. This recall replaces two previous recalls (25V050 and 25V894); vehicles previously repaired under those recalls will need to have the new remedy completed.
