Ford F-250 SD windshield wiper arm failure recall 2022–2023

Ford is recalling 2022–2023 F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD, F-550 SD, F-600 SD, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator vehicles. The windshield wiper arms may break and fail, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of crashes.

Ford Motor Company is recalling approximately 422,613 vehicles spanning multiple model years: 2021–2023 Lincoln Navigator, 2021–2023 Expedition, and 2022–2023 F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD, F-550 SD, and F-600 SD. The windshield wiper arms on these vehicles may break.

When wiper arms break, the windshield wipers fail to operate, reducing visibility for the driver. Reduced visibility increases the risk of a crash.

Ford will address this defect by having dealers inspect the wiper arms and replace them as necessary at no charge to the owner. Interim notification letters were mailed to owners on April 16, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy becomes available. Owners can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 for information about the recall. Ford's internal recall number is 26S24. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) for affected vehicles became searchable on NHTSA.gov on April 1, 2026.
