Jayco and Entegra motorhomes recalled for insufficient engine cover insulation

Jayco, Inc. is recalling certain 2020-2021 model year motorhomes built on a Ford F-53 chassis, including the Jayco Alante, Precept, and Precept Prestige, as well as the Entegra Vision, Vision XL, and Emblem models. The engine covers on these vehicles may not contain sufficient heat insulation.

The inadequate insulation can cause the interior surfaces of the engine covers to reach excessive temperatures. Occupants may come into contact with these hot surfaces, increasing the risk of burn injury during normal vehicle operation.

Jayco will notify affected owners. Dealers will install an additional insulation insert and a foam seal on the outer edge of the cover at no charge. Owners can contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267, referencing recall number 9903527, to arrange service.
