2017–2021 Holiday Rambler and Fleetwood Motorhomes Recalled for Improperly Sealed Flooring

REV Recreation Group is recalling 2017–2021 Fleetwood, Holiday Rambler, and Fleetwood motorhomes with improperly sealed floor holes that could allow carbon monoxide into the living area. Dealers will reseal the floor free of charge.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: This is a structural vehicle defect allowing potential carbon monoxide entry into living areas. However, no injuries, illnesses, or deaths have been reported. Per the rubric, when no illnesses are reported and the hazard is theoretical, the score does not exceed 3.

Plain-English summary

REV Recreation Group is recalling certain 2017–2021 motorhomes: the Fleetwood Bounder P Model, Holiday Rambler Vacationer P Model, and Fleetwood Southwind Model P. A total of 538 units are affected.

The floor of these motorhomes may have improperly sealed holes. These holes could allow gases, particularly carbon monoxide, to enter the living area. This increases the risk of injury or death.

REV began notifying owners on January 3, 2022. Dealers will reseal the floor area free of charge. Owners can contact REV customer service at 1-800-509-3417 to schedule service. For more information, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
