Holiday Rambler Admiral motorhomes recalled for missing GFCI outlet protection

Certain 2019-2025 Holiday Rambler Admiral and other RVs have exterior patio outlets lacking GFCI protection when powered by generator or shore cord, increasing electrical shock risk. Dealers will install GFCI devices free of charge.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: Classified as High under the rubric criterion for risk-of-harm products where injury has not yet been reported. The defect creates a credible electrical shock hazard (missing GFCI protection during ground-fault), but the source text contains no reports of any injuries or deaths.

Plain-English summary

REV Recreation Group is recalling certain 2019-2025 Holiday Rambler Admiral, 2023-2025 Holiday Rambler Eclipse, Fleetwood Flex, and 2019-2024 Fleetwood Flair motorhomes. The exterior patio outlets in these vehicles may lack GFCI (ground-fault circuit interrupter) protection when powered by the generator or shore cord.

Without GFCI protection, an outlet may fail to shut off electrical power when a ground-fault occurs. This increases the risk of electrical shock or injury.

The remedy is free: dealers will install a GFCI protection device prior to the inverter transfer switch. Owner notification letters were mailed October 11, 2024. Contact REV customer service at 1-800-509-3417 to schedule installation, or visit www.nhtsa.gov for additional information.
