2021-2023 Holiday Rambler and Fleetwood Motorhomes: Propane Tank Valve Defect
REV Recreation Group is recalling certain 2021-2023 Holiday Rambler and Fleetwood motorhomes due to service valve defects on LPG tanks that may cause propane leaks and fire risk. Dealers will replace valves at no cost.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a real manufacturing defect (improper thread depth on LPG tank valves) with potential for serious harm (propane leak leading to fire risk). However, no injuries, deaths, or actual incidents are reported in the source. Per the rubric, risk-of-harm products where injury has not yet been reported score 3 (High).
Plain-English summary
REV Recreation Group is recalling approximately 1,540 certain 2021-2023 Holiday Rambler and Fleetwood motorhomes. The affected models include Vacationer, Invicta, Navigator, Admiral, Eclipse, and multiple Fleetwood models including Southwind, Bounder, Pace Arrow, Fortis, Flair, and Flex. The service valves on the LPG (propane) tanks may have improper thread depth.
This defect can allow propane to leak. In the presence of an ignition source, a propane leak can increase the risk of fire. The manufacturer has not reported any injuries or incidents related to this defect.
Owners should contact their dealers for a free inspection and replacement of the service valves if necessary. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 20, 2023. For additional information, owners can contact REV customer service at 1-800-509-3417 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 1-888-327-4236.
