2021 Mercedes-Benz side crash sensor connector defect affects airbag deployment

The recall affects a total of 542 vehicles. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 3, 2021. Dealers will inspect and replace the side impact crash sensors free of charge. Owners can contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372 with reference number 2021070032/33. The NHTSA campaign number is 21V527000.
