Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling certain 2022-2025 C 300 vehicles and 2023-2024 AMG C 43 vehicles. The defect involves the driver-side seat belt cover, which may not be properly installed on the seat belt tensioner.
The improperly installed seat belt cover can cause the seat belt anchor to come loose. A loose seat belt may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Affected owners were notified by letter on May 16, 2025. Owners should contact Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) customer service at 1-800-367-6372 or call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236 (TTY 888-275-9171). Dealers will inspect and repair the seat belt covers free of charge under this recall (MBUSA recall number 2025040012).
