Entegra and Jayco recreational vehicles recalled for window adhesive failure

Jayco is recalling certain 2019-2021 recreational vehicles with Hehr 6400 series windows due to adhesive failure. The window vent may detach, increasing the risk of crash or injury.

What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: Structural vehicle defect affecting window integrity. The potential for window detachment creates a risk of crash or injury, meeting the rubric threshold for Severe severity.

Plain-English summary

Jayco, Inc. is recalling certain 2019-2021 Anthem, Aspire, Cornerstone, Insignia, Reatta, and Embark recreational vehicles equipped with Hehr 6400 series windows. The adhesive that bonds the vented portion of the window may fail.

If adhesive failure occurs, the vent portion of the window may detach during operation. This increases the risk of a crash or injury to occupants.

Dealers will inspect the windows and replace the vent if necessary at no charge to owners. Jayco mailed owner notification letters beginning August 31, 2021. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 and reference recall number 9903569.

For additional information, owners may contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
