Jayco Recreational Vehicles Recalled for Propane Regulator Fire Risk

Jayco is recalling certain 2017-2022 recreational vehicles with Winntec propane regulators that may fail and increase propane pressure, raising the risk of fire in gas appliances.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: This recall involves a risk-of-harm product (recreational vehicle propane system) where no injuries have been reported. The potential consequence is fire from increased propane pressure in gas appliances.

Plain-English summary

Jayco, Inc. is recalling certain 2017-2022 recreational vehicles, including Jayco Seismic, Eagle, Talon, Jay Feather, Jay Flight, North Point, Pinnacle, White Hawk, and other models, equipped with Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulators. The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.

Increased propane pressure can enlarge the flames in gas appliances, increasing the risk of fire.

This recall affects approximately 29,825 recreational vehicles. Owner notification letters were mailed on November 1, 2021.
