2021-2022 Jayco and Entegra motorhomes recalled for loose tie rod clamps

Jayco and Entegra are recalling certain 2021-2022 Class C motorhomes with loose tie rod clamps that could lead to steering loss and increased crash risk.

What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: This is a structural vehicle defect of the steering system, which meets the Severe criterion. While no injuries have been reported, detached tie rod ends would directly compromise vehicle control.

Plain-English summary

Jayco, Inc. is recalling certain 2021 and 2022 Jayco Seneca, Jayco Seneca Prestige, Entegra Coach Accolade, and Entegra Coach Accolade XL Class C motorhomes. The tie rod clamps may be loose, which could result in loose or detached tie rod ends.

Detached or broken tie rod ends can result in steering loss, which increases the risk of a crash. A total of 28 vehicles are potentially affected by this recall.

Owners were notified by mail on March 15, 2022. Jayco dealers will replace the tie rod clamp bolts and nuts at no cost. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 to schedule service, or call the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
