The rearview camera may fail to display the rear-view image due to a software error. This defect causes these vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 111, which requires rear visibility. An inoperable rearview camera display reduces the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash during backing maneuvers.

Dealers will update the rearview camera software at no charge. Owner notification letters were sent on July 15, 2022.
