Jayco Precept motorhomes recalled for inadequate heat shield
Jayco is recalling 2020-2022 Precept motorhomes because the heat shield beneath the storage compartment may be too short, allowing exhaust heat to melt it and increase fire risk.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: This is a structural vehicle defect with potential for fire, but no actual injuries or fires have been reported. Per the rubric, when the hazard is theoretical without reported illness or injury, the score is at most 3.
