Maserati Multiple Models Rearview Camera Display Software Defect

Maserati North America, Inc. is recalling multiple model year vehicles from 2021 to 2025, including the MC20 Cielo, MC20, Grecale, Granturismo, GranCabrio, Levante, Ghibli, and Quattroporte. The radio software in these vehicles may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying.
When the rearview camera image does not display, drivers lose visibility to the rear of their vehicle. This reduced visibility increases the risk of a crash when backing up and violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Number 111, which requires adequate rear visibility.
The recall affects approximately 27,354 vehicles. Owners were notified by mail on March 10, 2025.
Maserati will remedy the issue by updating the radio software at no cost to owners. The update will be provided over-the-air (OTA) or by an authorized Maserati dealer.
