2021 Peterbilt Brake Chamber Defect May Increase Crash Risk

If the pressure plate shifts, it may tear the diaphragm within the brake chamber. This can lead to a loss of air pressure in the braking system, increasing the risk of a crash.

PACCAR dealerships will replace the affected brake chambers at no charge to owners. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 9, 2021. Owners can contact PACCAR customer service at 1-940-591-4220 to schedule the repair. Approximately 13 vehicles are potentially affected by this recall.
