Lincoln Corsair and Ford vehicles recalled for rearview camera failure
Ford is recalling 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair and certain 2021-2022 Ford Super Duty and Expedition vehicles. The rearview camera may display a blank or distorted image, reducing visibility when backing up.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: The rearview camera is a safety-critical component for back-over prevention. A blank or distorted display directly increases the risk of crashes. However, no injuries or deaths are reported in the source, making this a high-risk theoretical hazard rather than severe.
Plain-English summary
Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2021 Ford Expedition, 2021-2022 Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and F-600, and 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair vehicles. Approximately 91,580 vehicles are affected. The rearview camera in these vehicles may display a blank or distorted image.
A blank or distorted rearview camera display reduces the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash when backing up.
