2023 Forest River Aurora Travel Trailers Recalled for Incorrect Weight Placard
Forest River is recalling certain 2023 Aurora travel trailers due to an incorrect Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) on the Federal placard. The mislabeled weight rating could lead to vehicle overloading and increased crash risk.

Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2023 Forest River Aurora travel trailers, as well as 2020-2025 Aurora models, 2017-2025 Coachmen Catalina models, and 2025 Puma travel trailers. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) shown on the Federal placard may exceed the safety chain rating, violating Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) requirements numbers 110 and 120.
Approximately 1,833 vehicles are affected. An incorrect weight rating on the placard may cause owners to unintentionally overload their vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.
Forest River will mail owners a corrected Federal Placard with application instructions at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 24, 2025.
