Nova Bus transit buses recalled for missing glazing safety identification marks

Nova Bus (US) Inc. is recalling certain 2019-2020 LFS Artic and 2019-2023 LFS transit buses. The driver's speaker hole door may have been built without the required DOT code mark that identifies the glazing material type. These vehicles do not conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 205 for glazing materials.

A missing DOT code mark could result in the door being replaced with an incorrect type of plastic. This may reduce driver visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

Nova Bus will replace the plastic panel door free of charge. Owner notification is expected to be mailed July 11, 2026. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-450-472-6410 to arrange replacement. Vehicle identification numbers involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov starting July 11, 2026.
