Polestar Automotive USA, Inc. is recalling certain 2021-2024 Polestar 2 vehicles. The infotainment head unit (IHU) software may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying properly. This defect violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 111, which requires rear visibility for all vehicles.
Approximately 25,825 Polestar 2 vehicles are affected by this recall. The loss of rearview camera display decreases driver visibility and increases the risk of a crash.
