What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: The defect is structural (window detachment risk) but no injuries or property damage are reported. Per the rubric, risk-of-harm products without reported injury score as High (3).

Plain-English summary

Winnebago Industries is recalling certain 2020-2024 Winnebago View and Navion recreational vehicles equipped with Lippert Metallarte door assemblies. The door assembly may have been manufactured with incorrect window adhesion, allowing the window to loosen or detach.

Approximately 5,313 vehicles are affected. A window that detaches during transit can become a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash.

Dealers will install clips to secure the window to the door at no charge. An interim owner letter was mailed December 20, 2024, and a second notice will be mailed when the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-800-537-1885 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153).
